evening & morning: a day or two
Supper on 7H porch, about 6:15 to 8:30 pm as the day closed out, then late to bed, it was ten-thirty last night when we turned out the light. Supper: if it doesn't drip off your hand and ruin your pants you're not living.
Tuesday the WOW technician came and corrected the television issue.
Hurricane Season is no Time for the TV to be out.
We placed the order for our new kitchen countertop and ratified the amended cabinet order. Changing from dark cabinets and black countertop to white. A nonagenarian cannot see anything on a black countertop, we should have done this ten years ago before moving in. Meantime the place is chaos, as we've emptied all kitchen cabinets and stuff is spread throughout the dining room and livxingroom, every flat surface covered.
Thursday: haircut. Then, considering the quality of my tomato sandwiches, to Tanya's Garden to see if they had Slocomb, Alabama Tomatoes: luck! I bought ten or twelve, every one ready to cut, so I have to move fast with knife, white bread and mayo. Also a few crookneck squash, whole fig preserves, and she gave us the okra free because she has new and better coming in. And a wedge of hoop cheese because my father used to like it; there's nothing special about hoop cheese except that it lets me be eleven years old again watching my father carve off a chunk and reminisce about hoop cheese when he was a boy.
Then a quick stop by Aldi's because I appreciate the German items, bought a 6-pack of Irish stout. They carry excellent chocolate, but I forgot to roll down that aisle. Two servings of salmon and a pkg of 96% lean ground beef, which I like seared charcoal crusty on both sides and onto my plate with a cool red center. Salt and eat. I don't use salt, I use NoSalt, a potassium substitute.

Excellent company for supper last evening with dear friends at Capt's Table, shared a couple dozen raw half-shell and this Time no sand. Fried, an incomparably perfect whole mullet. If I get to the Heavenly Gate and Saint P offers me a choice of Heaven with large good oysters or small superb oysters, what will I say? Gene's small cold salty ones from Carrabelle are beyond compare. CTable's larger Virginia oysters are right across the street.
Glory Hallelujah, nomesane?
