Dark and ugly with flashes of lightning

Interesting start for a summer Sunday morning. 80F of course, but instead of lying in bed and maybe drifting back to sleep, up and out for Linda’s PCNH because of angry lightning and rumbles of thunder. It’s to the west, looks like over Panama City Beach at the moment. Still a bit too summery in the season, though, too early to go outside on one of the screen porches and enjoy the approaching storm.

Not too early to remind whoever has ears to hear and eyes to see that today opens our fall season of Adult Sunday School. Just as interesting as the morning’s scary thunder and lightning, Mike and I have a season opener to shock the soul. Dark and ugly, OMG, WTH is this all about? Don't dare miss it. Between services at HNEC, 9:15 a.m. down the sidewalk in Mary Stuart Poole Library.

Finally, back to my annual protest of the game of hiring Kiddiewinks to come get the hell beaten out of them by Bullies. Gators forever, but 65-0 is not football and never will be, especially seeing that Eastern Michigan is my grandson’s university. On the other hand, Knology now known as WOW has come through: two SEC channels, 36 and 63 on basic cable. Even Bubba can remember that.

On the other hand Ohio State 21, VaTech 35, I guess I love it after all.
