80F 88% hot and humid, late day storms, you know what? that’s as summer as it gets. Well no, not quite: summer is 90 something F and % both.
Ten years old, the a/c in my car is freezer cold. Five years old, the a/c in Linda’s car hasn’t cooled worth a bad ess word in more than a year. Tuesday I finally took it to the shop, waited Tuesday and called, waited Wednesday and called, waited Thursday and called, finally went by Thursday late and turns out a part is backordered. So I brought it home with the windows down. Know what else? We grew up before cars were air conditioned so it’s no big deal. Not for me anyway, my car is icy cold. “Backordered” is a four-letter word, and if I were L I’d trade that sucker in so fast it’d make the tires spin, but she picked it out and loves it.
Know what else? That’s the pinkest hydrangea I ever saw in my life. Linda brought it from the house; it was never this pink there. Lighter pink, or green, or blue. Depends on the alkalinity or acidity of its soil.
Looks to be a sizable ship arriving, she’s moving that slowly, cautiously in the far channel. To post, I may wait and snap a pic when she’s abeam of my porch.
Nope, it’s Campeche Bay (279 LOA x 41 beam), a small ship, one of our regulars between here and Progresso, and she’s meeting a tug pushing a green barge in the near channel, between 7H and Davis Point.

Both Disney and the gun store where he tried to shop having notified the FBI about Omar Mateen: if true, heads should roll and it looks as if we need a better, quicker, more competent and more reliable agency to help guard our safety. In the news this morning: Mateen's wife saying "FBI told me not to tell the media he was gay." The phrase is dubyateeeffoh. This will give our worthless Congress something else to investigate.
