it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

Happy New Year this morning. Not at all night people, nor yet evening people, we are predawn people, but saw on tv as a million or so gathered in Times Square, music show on stage and temperature heading below the teens Fahrenheit. Zilch here, a few whumps as folks set off cherry bombs or firecrackers, but saw no fireworks, maybe the cold and drizzle.

Poor wedding party on the beach below 7H Sunday afternoon, I felt sad for them. A couple guys set up a canopy and decorated it, put out a few chairs, but they must have had a Foul Weather Plan, because all of a sudden everything was gone. We like that weddings are celebrated on the beach below 7H.  

New Years, major CFB today. My CFB wishes for 2018: bowl game for Gators, Blue stomp Buckeyes. DPRK, leave him alone, maybe he’ll make some kind of peace starting with South Korea, only dolts think sanctions can work against face and pride. Speaking of crazies, well, I long wanted change in Washington, what did I expect, what’s the maxim, watch out what you wish for, you may get it; disbelief continues nonetheless. Toying with a Resolution, I’ll see. Meantime all my favorite tastes are waiting in the refrigerator. For PC, bitter cold this week, + wind + rain = raw, hopefully not, but if it is, afternoon sun reflecting off the Bay will keep 7H warm anyway, well protected on all sides, we live in our own climate zone.
