A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A time will come when a politician who has wilfully made war and promoted international dissension will be as sure of the dock and much surer of the noose than a private homicide. It is not reasonable that those who gamble with men's lives should not stake their own. -H.G. Wells, writer (21 Sep 1866-1946)
Breakfast: warm meatloaf sandwich with mayo and salt. Potassium actually, not salt. Properly thick slice of meatloaf. Warm and contenting, a Southern comfort food.
Few ounces of water and four pills: an antibiotic, furosemide, potassium, and a prescribed probiotic.
Another sip of water with three volunteer supplements and a heart pill.
Is my leg getting better? It's a sure thing!
And the home health nurse is coming late morning to change the dressing on my weeping edema wounds.
At the same Time, there's a meeting in the HOA room downstairs about changing from WOW! to Secure Vision. As I read it, SV offers a substantial technical advance. Linda plans to go the meeting. As my bandage is to be removed and replaced this morning, I get to take a shower this morning.

Life is Good!
This morning I asked Linda whether it had occurred to her seventy-four years ago, that in Time she would be caretaking an old man. Seventy-four years ago. It's when we started, September 1952, Linda moving up to the front seat beside me in my family's woody wagon, a brown, nine-passenger, 1949 Plymouth, for our weekly trips from home to church for our youth group meetings every Sunday evening.
It was a seating rearrangement in a station wagon filled with teenagers. There's a story that goes with it, a story too long to tell here. Ours was a relationship that developed, not "from first sight," but over a school year and on. At the Time, September 1952, it never occurred to either of us that we were beginning lifeTime togetherness.
But 17 + 74 = 91 and 16 + 74 = 90

H G Wells is right, but justice isn't universal, justice only comes for war's losers.

Facing a busy Monday. Pray yours brings you as much contentment with life as mine promises to be at this early hour.
