As the father of beloved girls, my sympathy is invariably with the woman. What happened to Amanda Knox was beyond the pale. One of my daughters had a wonderful “junior year abroad” in England during her college years. Another is contemplating just that as a possibility for herself. Standing at the airport and seeing a doted on daughter off across the seas to another continent is agony in itself, and the unending worry while she is away is aging. In the new generation, terrorism and anti-Americanism make the prospect almost unbearable.
What, me worry?
As long as life endures.
Is my opinion prejudiced?
