Not to say stodgy

Not to say stodgy
Bacon! What a great smelling house. Early Monday, Labor Day. Bacon for Joe, Tass, Jeremy, Caroline and Charlotte. Joe just left,

came from Winston-Salem for a week and is on his way home, a ten or eleven hour drive. Strictly an F-150 owner the last twenty years or so except for the Taurus and CRV passed along from our household to Patty, he recently went out in W-S to look at a used Infiniti and came home with a new Volvo S60. IIHS and SaferCar.gov have it the safest sedan, consistent with longstanding Volvo reputation.
Having been fairly round the car market in my lifetime, but never a Volvo, I’d like to try one of those older tall, square, not to say stodgy, sit-up-straight, wipe that smile off your face and drive with both hands sedans.

Volvo abandoned that sturdy look some years ago, and Joe’s S60 could be mistaken for our Buick Regal.
Not much is more fun than car thinking, car looking, car shopping. In sixty years experience, shopping is more fun than owning.

Hope to see Joe again in December.
