Merry C

At five-thirty this morning, Venus and the Moon were the most spectacular I recall ever seeing them together. The cellphone camera is fairly good, but I couldn't get it to show the moon is in its "crescent to hold water" phase. IDK how she is this morning, but with a telescope or good binoculars, Venus also generally presents beautifully as a crescent.

Unlike yesterday, which was so delightfully warm for December that we sat outside and enjoyed eating ice cream at a cafe sidewalk table in Seaside, this morning the seasonal cold is back. We drove (Linda drove, I sat in the back seat behind Malinda) from our Rosemary Beach location down 30A as far as Stinky's, where we mean to go for lunch at least one hurrication day while we are living out here in South Walton. Stinky's is mine & Frank's favorite place for lunch, and I want to take Linda and Malinda there one day soon. This is a lovely area, well planned and executed, all new but done as an elegant old, even European, look and feel. Real estate prices accordingly, multiply by ten just because you drive across the Phillips Inlet Bridge.

What's going on? Nothing yet today as far as I know. Lessons & Carols tomorrow evening at church, HNEC. Remarkable, unforgettable and never to be missed, the Bethlehem Star of the Christmas Season.

George Bush funeral days, flag at half mast to honor an elegant gentleman and father of an elegant family in a new age when the presumption of decency, civility and good taste have passed away. LHM CHM LHM.

Merry Christmas.

Late add: Thanks, Mike Harding!!
