Red, red, red, Bubba likes red.

"Welcome, happy morning!" age to age shall say.

Yesterday our refrigerator, a lovely Whirlpool that we bought new in July 2021 and really liked, showed the white feather: the temperature that was factory set at 37°F rose to 60°F and stayed there. The freezer temp is fine. But once it was clear that the refrigerator problem is real, we went online to Whirlpool customer service and scheduled a repair appointment under our five year extended warranty, got it scheduled for Monday, 9 December.

However, seeing that the service company is in Bessemer, Alabama, I got uneasy, especially considering that my experience with refrigerator repairs, including under warranties, local and long distance, is unfortunate yea unto disastrous and nerve-wracking, high stress. So I went online to check what customers have had to say about Whirlpool's repair service company.

The recent feedback is appalling beyond deplorable. Here are several reviews, copy and pasted:

I got a few of the ratings pages out of order above, but no matter, and there are pages upon pages upon pages of the same unsatisfactory ratings. We are patient, and I make a point of being the world's most patient man, whether it's waiting in backed-up traffic on 23rd Street, or waiting way beyond my appointment Time for a haircut, or waiting for a table at Hunt's Oyster Bar.

But life is too short to take on the predictable frustrations of trying to work with a repair service company that has a record of such dreadful customer ratings. So, we went to Lowe's and found a new LG refrigerator that was Linda's first choice, and that also was still sporting the nicely discounted Black Friday price. It's to be delivered next Saturday, and the old fridge taken away. I will attempt to cancel the service appointment for the Whirlpool.

BTW, this is NOT a complaint about the service company, whom we've not met, nor do we know first hand; but their online customer ratings are too much to deal with.

++++++++++

Meantime, we have a small mini-fridge into which we've crammed the refrigerated food that we most want to save. It should be fine there until the new refrigerator is delivered next Saturday. The rest we are eating last evening and today while it's still okay.

God is Great and Life is Good, at least it's Good for us here and now; though the day is at hand and soon will be when the parade cars will be broken out (let the reader understand).
