Some years ago, as the Episcopal Church did things, made decisions and took actions that outraged much of the rest of the worldwide Anglican Communion, a nationally known Episcopal priest, consultant and author commented somewhat disparagingly that the Anglican Communion is but a "human construct," and that right and good moral and theological moves of our American Episcopal branch of Anglicanism should not be swayed by or based on their objections and threats. I did not agree at the time, said and wrote so, but Time has proven to me that I was wrong and he was right as our Church has taken steps distancing ourselves from particular evils of institutionalized Certainty, a part of the Anglican Communion seething with murderous, homophobic hatred.

John McCain is being idolized, which will continue today while I officiate a marriage and contemplate tomorrow morning. John unfortunately ran against the wrong men at the wrong time, and the results are turning catastrophic. Let the reader ...
Yesterday, heavy, driving white rain at times, drenching us and then interspersed with instant clearing and sunny blue skies, signing "If only I had waited five more minutes." Frustrating, but no more so than the rest of life as it has become.
Hole In the Wall for lunch, where everybody laughs at you, instantaneous "Cheers" personified; baker's dozen on the half shell followed by a walk around the corner to Apalachicola Chocolate Company for the ice cream of my dreams, creamy, delicious, loaded with coconut, full of flavor.
I require and charge you both ...
