Sunday morning
Birthday weekend designate, as belovedys are here. Last evening
we went down the street to Los Antojitos for supper, where I tested and verified their claim to having the best steaks in town (haven't tried steak at all the PCB places yet, where the fifty-thousand pound steer might have LA beat, IDK), one margherita, and one chile relleno spinach.
Sunday dinner: spareribs, some with Sonny's BBQ sauce, small bowl marinading overnight with my mix of Carolina vinegar sauce and yellow mustard smeared on. I like different things from everybody else here, not on purpose, but it works out that way. Sweets for the weekend include a chocolate & vanilla coconut cream pie we brought home from Apalachicola Chocolate Company, a lemon pie Linda made, Mom's usual; and the German's chocolate cake Linda made after buying new bars of German's, and tossing the bar that expired in 1998, which was new when I was sixty years old.
Three tropical storms in the Atlantic this morning and heading east, Florence, Isaac and Helene. Gordon swept through here about a week ago.
