Correction!
Nobody but me gives a hoot, much less two hoots, but I do. Yesterday's picture of the 1949 Cadillac. I said it's a Series 62 based on the chrome piece just aft of the front wheel well. But it's not. Closer looking stirs my suspicion.
The chrome piece is too far down from the chrome strip above it, it should be abuting that chrome strip. And it looks too squared, not slanted as the original. And there's no full length chrome strip along the bottom of the car. Here's the true Series 62 two door sedan, which GM called a "sedanette" for some cute reason.
Here's a Series 61 sedanette.
Clasiq's featured car is a 1949 Cadillac Series 61 that someone has doctored up to pretend it's a Series 62.
Nice try!
