Gratitude

A year ago today dear friends took charge. Of me! One hour and forty-five minutes from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport to Burke Lakefront Airport, Cleveland, Ohio. Bitter cold, snow on the ground. Settle in. Couple days examinations, tests, consultations at Cleveland Clinic. An especially memorable forty minutes in a tight scan-tunnel with eyes shut tight against claustrophobia while lying on the beach at the jetties all one afternoon, exam week, spring 1953.
