There are anthills in the yard. Some ants will kill each other if they encounter ants of a different type or ants from a different colony, it’s their nature. Humans are like that, it’s our nature to fear, hate, ostracize and kill those who are different from us. Nation, religion, sect, family, race, tribe, political party, certitude, mindset.

Astronomers just discovered the largest known structure in the so-far-known universe, a quasar cluster four billion light years across. They’ve named it LQG.

It would take four thousand million years to drive across it in a fire-engine-red 1957 Chevrolet pickup traveling 186,000 miles per second. LQG isn’t just an idea, it’s really out there from In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, and the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved over churning chaos, and God said ... and ... in the image of God He created them ... male and female he created us ... and gave us dominion, lordship, ... power and authority to name ... elephant, arachnid, leviathan, atom, Shia, mullet, tadpole, Boanerges, molecule, USSR, Uranus, Pleiades, LQG, ant.

Cosmically, human differences are -- the New Testament Greek word is -- σκύβαλον. Humans could overcome human nature if we wanted to. But we don’t want to, we are too small, we’d rather be -- certain. Ants. God has given dominion to ants. Surely this is not God’s image. Ants? Is this the best we can be?
