Color Coordinated

Downstairs screen front porch this morning, on the chaise lounge. Nice, about 65F. Weather online says 51% humidity. Also says wind 0 mph, which is a crock: wind is whipping through the cedars and especially through the pines down front on the Bay and a medium breeze keeps drifting across the porch here. This light blanket was good at first but too warm. At the moment it's 3:53, now and then a car turns at Frankford and West Beach Drive two blocks away, the sound of someone on the way to work, someone not lucky enough to be retired. Still, the wind is the best sound.

Too early morning for motorcyclists. Thunder Beach: motorcycles everywhere, one of my favorite events of the year, and the place is crawling with Harleys. Pray there isn't a fatal accident this year like there usually is. The most crowded place on the Florida Gulf Coast at the moment is the new Harley-Davidson Motorcycle dealership at PCB, must be a spiritual home for these folks: hundreds (cajillions?) of Harleys parked there as I drove to the Beach for the final session of our Revelation study yesterday afternoon. Why is Thunder Beach a favorite? Just because son Joe has two, a Harley and a Ducati. A Ducati, a Harley and a Ford F-150 longbed offroader.

Didn't drive by the American Legion hall, also crowded with motorcycles during bike fests. Last night we went to Captain’s Table for supper where two tables were packed with biker couples. Honey, does yo' daddy know where you are? Snapped this shot in the parking lot.

“Interesting” doesn’t quite say it, eh? Color coordination is perfect. Hope the sign on the rear isn't prophetic for the biker. Also hope a car in front of him doesn't stop too fast for him, because "Last Ride" will come through like a locomotive.

Time for my reading. Jesuits again, chapter a morning. But three Evelyn Waugh novels are coming from Amazon, penny each plus $3.99 shipping. Decline and Fall, Vile Bodies, Scoop.

Traveling mercies for Sheree and Phil as they leave for Ontario.

Celebrating Thunder Beach with coffee in my Harley Davidson Classic Tank Designs 1935 hog mug that Joe gave me years ago soon after he got his first Harley.
