Thursday

Nutty. Totally nutty. Me as all can see who read my nonsense. Heat 115 Bulls 78. While that was going on the CD was reinstalling OS X on the Mac mini because of my missing a step trying to reset the password so Flash Player would update and download Linda’s crossword puzzles, then another hour reloading hardware software to reconnect printer et al. At least it didn’t erase the hard drive.

Bay is beautiful: totally flat and silver. Black pine trees against silver sky. Black strip across the Bay, Tyndall Field where Camp Weed was when my father went there as a boy. Shell Island farther across. Very still, no breeze, not even a palm branch quivering.

I

 cats

I just can’t eat a whole one by myself.

Bay now turning yellow to match the sky.

Jodi Arias verdict. No lawyer me, why has that case been so much in the public eye? Penalty phase now, and who in their right mind wants to execute somebody’s angry girlfriend? On the other hand, Ariel Castro is easy: turn him over to the fathers of the three girls and no questions asked.

AOL makes a hundred million, HuffPost and Patch losing their shirts. For balance, read alJazeera.

Bangladesh building collapse toll reaches 931.

48 of top 50 advertisers have Exclude Rush Limbaugh orders in place.

Mark Sanford said it was all "in the hands of  the Good Lord.” Got a minute, Good Lord? We need to talk.

Buick recall, taking the red Enclave to the shop this morning before driving it to Mobile for a retreat next month. Lease is almost up: turning it in July 18. Of seventy or so cars over the past sixty years, this has been the best ever.

Thursday: fast day. Coffee, yogurt, orange juice.

In the news this morning, Happy Birthday, Lillie!! Congratulations, and what a wonderful and beloved family you have, you are truly blest, and so are we.
