Fifth morning

Looking out from 7H we have a 180 degree view of creation, StAndrewsBay last evening totally ringed with clouds fired up with huge lightning flashes including terrifying streaks; but/and nevertheless, still and all, also ringed with boats loaded with folks coming out for the Fourth of July fireworks. The fireworks were bright, but the lightning was the star of last evening's electrical display.

It isn't working out perfectly any more than anything ever does, but with solid weeks of heavy, loving family involvement exhaustingly behind us, Linda and I committed this week to rest, withdrawal from the world, peaceful time alone with each other, and I marked "no" on every day of my calendar to help make it so, still mindful of family needing us to clear out what we have stored in Malinda's house; and that, standing in and available with the rector away, parishioners come first in any emergency. Praying traveling mercies, may God grant peace for you also!

And is that a perfect boy or what?!

Go gentle, and thank you, God.
