September 18

Breakfast: nine oysters toasted, thin slice cheese grits, ham sandwich. Water.

At 6:35 last evening we watched two ships meet and pass port to port in front of 7H, don't recall seeing that but one other time in the nearly four years we've lived here. CFC Forest departing with kraft liner for Colon, as BBC Africa arrives from Pasajes, Spain to offload an empty reel. Exciting day for the Port and StAndrewsBay, then BBC Vela left 8:15 pm.

What now? Didn't get her number or a picture but YDT, a Navy diver tender from the base just sailed by, made her turn, and is now on her way toward the Pass, a day in the deep, I suppose, for trainees from the diving school.

Tuesday: 83° and 91%, promises not quite to be the cool September day I'd hoped for, though fall officially starts before the week is out.
