home at last

Three weeks ago just this moment, Ray and I found Malinda slumped on a sofa in her living room, comatose from a ruptured aneurysm. She had been lying there, brain bleed, for just short of 24 hours. Today we cleared all obstacles and Ray drove her to Panama City from hospital in Pensacola. This evening, just now in fact, we checked her in to her rehab facility, St Andrew's Bay Rehab on Jenks Avenue. The past three weeks were agony for us her parents. Of course, all this will begin anew within the next couple of months, to stop the other aneurysm from bursting; but for now our girl is alive and well, and so are we all. Our exhaustion is welcome! Time is all we have, and for it we are exceedingly grateful to the angels of God's creation.
