Just Saying

Wave action at the moment even though the Bay looks flat from here. Not light enough yet really to tell, but a ship must have passed. No, maybe it’s the tide, wave action is too ongoing to be a ship’s wake.

Early morning when all is silent, roaring of the Gulf of Mexico is often prominent even though it’s four miles across the Bay to Shell Island and the pass. Just so this morning. Deep salt sea.

Must be still cloudy. Six-oh-nine and still no sunrise. Light but no sun. What a storm yesterday, and just at daughters leaving time too. Tass, J, C1, C2. Few minutes later driving rainstorm as Kristen drove off toward Atlanta just after two o’clock. “I’m here” text at 7:37 pm. Word is all it takes to make all OK.

Just saying. Paul saw luminescence on the road to Damascus. “Don’t touch me,” was that luminescence MM saw at the tomb? Being who appeared in the room with the doors locked and barred? And who vanished from their sight once they recognized him in the breaking of the bread? Luminescence? Just saying.

Paul, who proclaimed and wrote first, knew nothing about an empty tomb, and was not told about such when he first visited the apostles in Jerusalem (36 AD?). Raises whether they knew about it. Empty tomb doesn’t appear in writing until the Gospel according to Mark about 70 AD or a year or so later. With Paul, Christ has died, Christ is risen precedes Mark by a full generation and is based on Paul's experience of One saying "I'm Jesus, ..." not on an empty tomb.

Resurrection. And God Said. Creating, and recreating, word of God did not require stones and bones in 30 AD any more than on the Sixth Day of Creation: And God Said ...

Two resurrection accounts, not the same. Luminescence early, empty tomb later. Just saying.

St. Andrews Bay: silver, flat as a mirror.

My favorite Easter Dawn vision is from Martin Bell. God stepping into the tomb, just saying, "Get Up, Son," and the two of them going home to color Easter eggs.

Seven-thirty-one. Bay still flat and silver. Same Bay around which God Said let the dry land appear. Stable earth, deep salt sea, around the old eternal rocks.

Eternal Father, Spirit, Word.

Just saying.
