difference

Unless, as with Florida in 2000 between George W. Bush and Al Gore, there are too many hanging chads in too many states, by this time tomorrow we should know who will be our next president. Today matters.

It used to seem that the differences between courteous personalities and contending parties were so slim it didn’t truly matter all that much who the president was; but President Bush blitzkrieging into Iraq clarified once and for ever that it makes all the difference in the world, throughout the world, to millions of lives and untold generations of human beings who will never be. We are living into the road less traveled by; and throughout history it will make all the difference after all.

Personally non-disclosure this morning, I have many good, sincere, intelligent, and fervent friends and loved ones on every side of this contest. We’ll soon see. In the sense of fearful, terrified, I am afraid.

Arriving abut nine o’clock last night, we are at the Doubletree Hilton in Gainesville this morning: five-thirty we’re heading, with a little family of long-years parishioners/loved ones, https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/danadye/ down the street a piece to Shands to wait out a brain surgery and frozen section biopsy. Another way in which today will make all the difference.

Love, peace, and God bless us every one.
